Module 1: Mechanical
Course Duration: 5 months full time
By the end of this module, the student shall have all the draughting skills in his/her finger tips; he/she shall be able to draw both on the board and the computer very accurate, detailed and standard drawings. In addition to draughting, the student is also taught the basics of safety and health regulations that are in his line of work, they are also trained in developing standard estimations for cost and materials as well as developing materials take off and a bill of quantities from schematics.
Objectives
The main aim of this module it to equip the student with all the necessary skills of mechanical draughting, in addition, the student should also acquire a firm understanding of the basic principles of mechanical building services so as:
- To understand the role of a mechanical building services draughtsman
- To acquire the skills necessary to understand and create a mechanical building services drawing
- To develop simple designs for mechanical building services
- To acquire a foundation for further training in the field of mechanical building services
- To be able to generate materials and labor take off from schematics
- To be able to generate bill of quantities from schematics
- To acquire knowledge required in problem solving involving draughting and design of mechanical building service drawings
Entry Requirements
Either you will be a graduate of our basic engineering course or
- Have a diploma in Building and Construction fields and possess basic knowledge of AutoCAD
- Candidates with practical experience from a drawing office may also be considered but will take classes in AutoCAD level I

- Strength of materials
- Introduction to mechanical engineering principles
- Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC)
- Plumbing and pipetting
- Estimating
- Mechanical and plumbing draughting
- Computer Aided Design – AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP and MS Project

Module 2: Electrical Building Services Draughting
Course Duration: 5 months full time
Objectives
The main aim of this module is to equip the student with all the necessary skills of electrical draughting, in addition, the student should also acquire a firm understanding of the basic principles of electrical building services so as to:
- To understand the role of an electrical services draughtsman
- To acquire the skills necessary to understand and create an electrical building services drawing
- To develop simple designs for electrical building services
- To acquire a foundation for further training in the field of electrical building services

- To be able to generate bill of quantities from schematics
- To acquire knowledge required in problem solving involving draughting and design of electrical building service drawings
